Room Acoustics

A listener does not need to be an acoustics expert to recognize poor listening conditions for speech or music. Poor speech intelligibility or unnatural perception of musical instruments indicates insufficient acoustic quality. Yet good listening conditions are essential for comfort during cultural, social or educational events and greatly influence attendance.

We have been working in the field of room acoustics for many years and possess extensive experience. Among our significant clients are Czech Radio, Czech Television, Prague and regional theatres, concert halls (e.g., Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum), conservatories, state institutions and private studios.

We are equipped with officially calibrated instruments enabling precise and objective reverberation-time measurements.

Akustika Praha is accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute for noise measurements and calculations in work and non-work environments, reverberation-time measurements, building sound insulation and sound-absorption coefficient measurements. We meet the requirements of Act No. 258/2000 Coll. on the protection of public health for noise measurements in the human environment.
