Noise studies as required by Health/Building Authorities
Credible results obtained from noise measurements and/or noise studies are an important basis for decisions made by Health/Building Authorities concerning various issues, such as proceedings in territorial, construction, or authorization matters, resolution of citizens´ complaints, etc.
Maximum permissible values of noise and vibrations in the working environment, in housing construction, in various buildings for the provision of services to citizens, and in outdoor spaces are stated in the government directive No. 272/2011 according to the Public Health Law (No. 258/2000). A thorough knowledge of this legislation makes it possible for the staff of Akustika Praha to produce documents needed for decision-making by the Health/Building Authorities, thus contributing towards optimal solutions in combatting noise while achieving maximum savings.
For the prediction of noise propagation outdoors, we use the software Predictor-LimA Software Suite and Mithra, among the best actual prediction tools and providing reliable results and color noise maps. The calculation method is recommended by the draft of Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council relating to the Assessment and Management of Environmental Noise for use in the EU and accepted by the Czech authorities. The software enables the prediction of noise propagation in complex height profile of ground, a feature not available using the more simple software tools.
Minimum permissible values concerning sound isolation of internal partitions of building constructions and external walls are provided by Czech Technical Standard ČSN 73 0532 Acoustics - Assessment of sound isolation in building construction and buildings, published in 2000. In accordance with the decision of the Ministry Of Health, this is a universally binding satndard. Therefore,Health/Building Authorities frequently need accurate measurements of soundproof capacity of walls and ceilings, separating production facilities or restaurants from residental space.

During its operations, Akustika Praha has made hundreds of noise studies, which have all been approved by Health/Building Authorities without any negative comments.
